About
Our organization was started in the wake of the loss of Tailar Kai Matthews, our daughter, sister and friend as the result of a drunk driving accident. In the time after her passing we learned that navigating grief is challenging in so many ways. The mission of The Tailar Way is to offer crucial financial support to individuals affected by drunk driving incidents, helping them navigate the challenges and hardships that arise. The financial support we hope to offer will allow families impacted by traumatic loss the ability to afford the time to grieve.

The Tailar Way exists to CREATE a space that will INSPIRE others to BELIEVE that grief and hope can coexist
Our Mission
Bringing grief to the surface - bringing it out of the shadows - normalizing grief - creating a space where grief is not overlooked or forgotten - we want to foster a space where grief is talked about - grief related to loss

Our Vision
The Tailar Way seeks to reshape societal perceptions of grief, fostering a community where loss is not just acknowledged but fully integrated into our collective consciousness. Our vision encompasses creating a space where practical, hands-on support and bilingual services guide individuals through their bereavement, ensuring grief is addressed with empathy and thorough assistance.
